"A baby will make love stronger,
days shorter, nights longer,
bankroll smaller, home happier,
clothes shabbier, the past forgotten,
and the future worth living for"
- Pablo Picasso
Planning a newborn session can be a bit overwhelming. There are so many different factors that need to be considered besides just loving the images. You want someone who is careful, clean, and experienced. There are lots of questions that parents have when looking at a newborn photographer and even more questions that come up once they start their search. I hope the following helps answer most of your questions and concerns so you can feel comfortable choosing me as your photographer.
Your Newborn Session should be a one of a kind, custom experiences that is as special as the little one you are expecting to join your family. No session is exactly the same and through my careful planning process, I guarantee you will have a session that you will love and rave about for a very long time.
A few Q&A's first:
When do I need to book my session? As soon as you can. Planning a truly custom experience for you takes time. So as soon as you are thinking about a session, contact me so we can get the ball rolling.
When do you do the session? I like to do a newborn session when the baby is between 7 and 12 days old.
Why so young? Babies needs to be very sleeping for these kinds of sessions. As they get used to being out in the world they become more alert and harder to get into those sweet poses.
So if I missed the 12 day window am I out of luck? Absolutely not! We can get beautiful images at any age, it is just that newborn images are easiest at 7-12 days. After that we just adjust a bit to accommodate for the babies age the day of the session.
